Thanksgiving in Oregon

As always, I try to go up to Mom's on the Oregon coast for Turkey Day. I had a great time and saw some relatives. I stayed there for almost a week and did get an opportunity to go out and shoot a few times.
Shores Acres is always a great place for pictures, day...

Or night!

One afternoon, Mom and I went down the coast to Bandon to watch the sun going down. The bluffs there also make for some dramatic scenery, and Oregon sunsets are often supremely colorful. Alas, we didn't stay for the reds and purples.

The stormy northern Pacific has been generating big waves for weeks. This day was one of the tamer ones but, the sea still seemed a "bit miffed".

The pelicans were lingering beyond their normal migration schedule. Here is a perfect example of a picture taken during the "Golden Hour".
